Poster Comments about this event
This event usually includes performances by candidates for the title of Miss Sherman Indian High School, that may include traditional performances related to their Tribes and also may include other talent or presentations by the Candidates.
I believe it includes the crowning of the new Miss Sherman, and the passing of the beaded or new beaded crown from the former Miss Sherman to the new.
Also there is usually additional performances, one or more of which may be Tribal.
As this is a boarding school, and some students do not have family members who can travel to this event from remote reservations, such as students from South Dakota, or from the Navaho reservation, support of these students and support of their performances would be welcomed.
In the past, students also have tried to raise money for their on campus clubs, by selling water, and food in a booth, so if they are doing that this year, support of the students efforts would also be welcomed.
As Sherman Indian High School is one of only about 4 such schools Nationwide, Riverside and Inland Empire residents may have a unique opportunity to learn about one or more culture during the presentations at this event.
