Money and Votes

MapLight connects money and votes. We bring together, in one website, the money given to politicians with each politician’s votes.

We provide data, research services, and online tools that work together to make patterns of money and influence more transparent. Connections between campaign contributions, interest groups and votes that would have required days or weeks of manual research are now available at the click of a mouse.

  1. To Whom it May Concern,

My name is Jack Cartledge and I am currently an undergraduate student at UC Riverside studying political science, and I also live on Maravilla Drive within the University Neighborhood. I had a few questions regarding student housing in the area, as I wanted to do some research for a project I am working on. I know there have been tensions regarding the large amount of student renters within the neighborhood, and I am looking at ways to mitigate student activity within single-family residential streets. This is being looked at through proposed student apartments that would absorb some of the school’s population and deter them from renting in increasing numbers within the University Neighboorhood.

Feel free to give me a call at (949) 610-3034, or if there was any contact information for a representative for the Association that would be perfect as well.

    Jack Cartledge
