Power Generation In Water Pipes Tested In Riverside

If a new turbine now being tested in Riverside lives up to its hype, using water from the faucet or running the dishwasher could someday help generate power.

A test unit was installed Wednesday at a water booster station near UC Riverside. It consists of a spherical, five-bladed turbine mounted inside a 48-inch-diameter water line. Read more.
