Instead of updating building codes to require rooftop solar or incentivising retrofits to utilize solar power where its produced, it seems like we may be too willing to embrace the easy or expedient route of taking habitat, open space or hillsides.

Thankfully, in Riverside we had an enlightened citizenry who passed Proposition R and Measure C to preserve our unique land forms and open spaces.
